At YourSoul, we believe that your personal reflections should remain private. Our journaling app is built with this fundamental principle in mind. Your journal entries are stored locally on your device and are never automatically uploaded to any servers.

We've intentionally designed our app to be "offline-first," meaning all functionality works without an internet connection, and no account creation is required to use the app. You have full control over your data.

Account Information

YourSoul offers both local storage and optional account creation:

• Local Mode: You can use YourSoul without creating an account. In this mode, your journal entries stay exclusively on your device. No data is synced or stored online automatically.
• Optional Account: Creating an account (via Apple Sign-In) is optional and primarily used for premium feature access. We store only the minimum information necessary: your Apple ID identifier and an optional username. Your journal data remains local even with an account.

Data Storage and Encryption

• Journal Entries: Your entries are stored securely on your device with optional end-to-end encryption (AES-256) when you enable this premium feature.
• Soul Profile Data: Your customized Soul Profile, including any photos or personal details, is stored locally on your device.
• Export/Import: YourSoul provides a seamless way to export your journal entries for backup or transfer. You can easily import these entries back into the app on the same or a different device. You are responsible for the security of your exported files.
• Security: Optional biometric authentication (Face ID/Touch ID) provides an additional layer of protection for accessing the app locally.

Data We Do Not Collect

YourSoul prioritizes your privacy by not collecting:

• Usage Analytics: We don't track how you use the app.
• Location Data: We don't collect your geographic location.
• Browsing Activity: We don't monitor your activities outside our app.
• Content Analysis: We don't analyze or scan the content of your journal entries.
• Cloud Backups: We do not automatically back up or sync your data to any cloud service.

Device Permissions

YourSoul requests the following permissions only when needed for specific features:

• Camera: Only if you choose to add photos directly to your entries or Soul Profile.
• Photo Library: Only when adding existing photos to your entries, Soul Profile, or saving shared images.
• Notifications: Only if you enable journaling reminders.
• Face ID / Touch ID: Only if you enable this additional security feature.

These permissions are optional and only used for the specific features mentioned. They can be revoked at any time through your device settings.

Third-Party Services

YourSoul connects only with essential Apple services:

• Apple App Store: For app downloads, updates, and managing premium subscriptions.
• Apple Sign In: Optional secure authentication if you choose to create an account.

We do not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not share your data with third parties.

Premium Features

YourSoul offers premium features including:

• Unlimited clusters for organization
• Unlimited photo attachments
• Biometric security protection
• Custom Soul Profile personalization
• Premium font collection
• Custom themes and visual options
• End-to-end encryption for local data
• Seamless data export and import

Payment processing for premium subscriptions is handled securely through Apple's App Store. We don't store your payment information.

Data Security

Your journal security is our priority:

• Optional End-to-End Encryption: Military-grade AES-256 encryption for all local journal data when enabled.
• Biometric Security: Optional Face ID/Touch ID protection for app access.
• Secure Key Storage: Encryption keys are stored securely on your device.
• Zero Knowledge: We have no ability to access your encrypted journal data, whether stored locally or exported by you.
• Export Security: When you export your data, the security of the exported file is your responsibility. We recommend storing it securely.

While we implement strong security measures for data stored within the app, please remember that no digital system is 100% secure. We encourage you to enable the additional security features available.

Children's Privacy

YourSoul is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
